My name is Sanja Günkel. As an investment controller at alpha portfolio advisors, I am responsible for the alphaport® manager database and qualitative mandate controlling in the area of manager selection. I live in beautiful Bad Soden with my husband and our two children and enjoy living in the countryside while being close to Frankfurt.
After graduating from high school, I completed my degree in sports science at the Ruhr University in Bochum. In 2007, I moved to the Rhine-Main area for love and took over the commercial management of two physiotherapy centres in Mainz and Wiesbaden. In 2014, I decided to make a new start in my career and completed the Claritas programme (CFA Institute Investment Foundations® Programme), which I successfully completed with the Claritas Investment Certificate. My path at alpha portfolio advisors began 10 years ago when my husband heard about a job vacancy at alpha in conversation with my dear colleague Karin Spieker. The exciting area of responsibility and the personal impression of all the employees inspired me from the very first moment. To this day, I am grateful and happy to be part of this great team.
I firmly believe that you can move mountains with a good team, whether privately or professionally.
My life is in balance when I spend a lot of time with the people close to my heart. This includes my family and friends, who ground me, give me strength and make me laugh. I love the sea, the mountains, Croatia, thrillers, good food, skiing and the yellow felt ball.
After a stressful day, tennis is the perfect balance for me.
