My name is Karin Spieker and I am responsible for the operational controlling of all mandates in the area of manager selection at alpha portfolio advisors. I live with my family and our dog Fluffy in the beautiful Taunus region.
I graduated with a degree in business administration from the University of Münster in 2006, specialising in finance and tax. I then worked at various major banks, including in product management for the private client business in Frankfurt am Main.
In 2011, a good friend who worked for an asset manager told me about the professionalism of alpha portfolio advisors which he witnessed in an ongoing manager selection process. That's how I became aware of alpha and, by chance, there was a job vacancy at the time, which I applied for straight away. At the time, I was impressed by the exciting area of responsibility and my personal impression of the team. This enthusiasm continues to this day and I really enjoy my daily work. In particular, the professionalism in the cooperation with our clients and the professional exchange offer new challenges every day.
There is nothing "off the peg" at alpha. Every project is customised according to the customer's needs. All employees go the extra mile for our customers every day. This enthusiasm in the team is infectious and this is reflected in customer satisfaction. It fulfils me to achieve success together with our customers.
I am grateful to have been working for alpha for over 13 years now. We are more than just colleagues in the team, we are close friends. The motto "One for all, all for one" describes our team spirit well.
Daily walks with my dog clear my head. I love walks on the beach in all weathers and, of course, sunsets by the sea. I also like to go swimming, which is a wonderfully refreshing change.
