My name is Marc-André Göricke, I work as a Senior Consultant at alpha portfolio advisors in manager selection. I live with my family near Cologne. I appreciate the Rhinelanders, the Rhineland and the diverse cultural offerings of this region.
My professional career began with a degree in business administration in Mainz and Sydney. During this time, I discovered my passion for the capital markets and science. As part of my dissertation at the University of Cologne, I intensively analysed the importance of portfolio managers for fund performance. As my colleagues at alpha portfolio advisors have also experienced in practice over many years how important the people involved are for the assessment of an investment strategy, alpha portfolio advisors was the perfect choice for me. Here I can apply the findings from my academic work perfectly in practice.
In general, I am driven by curiosity and a commitment to always learn new things and to share and discuss my findings with other people. I realised early on that I would like to work as a consultant one day. I am grateful to be able to do this in such an exciting and multifaceted area as asset management. I enjoy helping our clients achieve their goals by sharing scientific and practical knowledge as part of our advisory services.
I find the right balance through my hobbies and spending time with my family and friends. Music, especially playing the electric guitar, gives me great pleasure and offers a nice relaxation for the mind. I try to keep physically fit by playing basketball regularly and reading allows me to immerse myself in other worlds.

I find the idea of touching and inspiring people through music, film or literature fascinating. I regularly experience for myself how powerful art can be, be it through a moving song or a captivating book.
